User Support

For technical questions and issues, contact our support team at support@jupyterhub.nrw.

To help us handle your request quickly, please always include the following information:

  • Your username: you can find it in the top-right corner of the JupyterHub.nrw interface (e.g. moradp6b@ruhr-uni-bochum.de).
  • Your university, or the URL of your JupyterHub.nrw instance: JupyterHub.nrw is multi-tenant, meaning each university has its own instance (e.g. ruhr-uni-bochum.jupyterhub.nrw, uni-muenster.jupyterhub.nrw). Your university's name is shown on the home page under "Welcome to JupyterHub.nrw!", and the instance URL is visible in your browser's address bar.

Without this information we cannot identify your instance, which delays the handling of your request.

JupyterHub.nrw home page with the username highlighted in the top-right corner and the university name shown below the welcome heading

Your username is shown in the top-right corner (here `moradp6b@ruhr-uni-bochum.de`), and your university's name under "Welcome to JupyterHub.nrw!" (here Ruhr-Universität Bochum). The university determines the instance URL, e.g. `ruhr-uni-bochum.jupyterhub.nrw`.

Packages & Feedback

For questions regarding missing Python or Linux packages, email us at feedback@jupyterhub.nrw with the package name and a short description of what you need it for. You can also use this address to share general feedback with us.

Joining JupyterHub.nrw

Universities in NRW that are not yet part of JupyterHub.nrw are welcome to contact us at info@jupyterhub.nrw to learn more about joining the service.

Access to JupyterHub.nrw

Members of a university can use JupyterHub.nrw only after their university has completed the onboarding process and has been provided with its own JupyterHub.nrw instance.

If your university is not yet onboarded, you may be able to log in via your home institution, but you will not be able to access any resources yet.
